Grading guide
We use a grading scale close to major Magic: The Gathering marketplaces such as Cardmarket. Please choose the condition carefully when submitting your buylist.
When in doubt, grade lower
If you are unsure whether a card is Excellent or Good, please choose Good. This helps avoid disappointment and adjustments after we check the cards.
NM — Near Mint
A Near Mint card looks almost new. Very minor edge wear may be acceptable, but the card should not have clear scratches, visible whitening, bends, dents or other obvious wear.
EX — Excellent / Lightly Played
An Excellent card has light signs of play. This may include small white spots on the edges, very light surface wear or minor shuffle wear. The card should still look clean overall.
GD — Good / Moderately Played
A Good card has clearly visible wear but is still perfectly playable in a sleeve. This may include multiple white spots, light scratches, visible edge wear or small marks.
PL — Played / Heavily Played
A Played card has heavy wear. This may include strong whitening, clear scratches, small bends, edge damage or other visible signs of heavy use. The card is still playable in a sleeve, but clearly worn.
PO — Poor
A Poor card has serious damage. This may include heavy creases, ink damage, water damage, tears or other major defects. We usually only buy Poor condition cards if they are higher value cards and the condition has been clearly communicated beforehand.
